We are looking for smart, nice, enthusiastic people to join our stellar team and help us fulfill our mission to help students and their families protect their investment in higher education.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains and expands relationships with strategically important customers. Assigned to 80 - 100 college and university partners.
  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with university housing officials.
  • Achieve strategic account objectives and growing student participation in existing student benefit program.
  • Represent GradGuard’s student benefit programs within higher education community including NACUBO / Professional Development Group / NASFAA / URMIA.
  • Coordinate school implementations to enable them to verify that each student has been provided notice of the institutions refund policy and provide the opportunity each family to protect themselves from financial loss through GradGuard’s tuition insurance benefit.
  • Enable colleges and universities to rely on GradGuard to maintain HIPAA compliant claims processes and to avoid the collection or distribution of student medical information.
  • Works closely with internal GradGuard’s national customer service team to ensure complete customer satisfaction and provide status reports regarding aggregate claims experience information to each institution.
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates school and client needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with college and university officials.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

The position is based in Boston or Phoenix and reports to the Senior Vice President for Campus Development, Joe Creney.

  • Four year college degree from an accredited institution
  • Excellent project management skills with a demonstrated capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Student financial services experience with demonstrated understanding of the responsibilities of the Busar’s office and student refunds.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and demonstrated capacity to become proficient in SalesForce.
  • Demonstrated curiosity in technology, higher education, social media, and insurance / risk management.
  • Enthusiasm for higher education
  • Willingness to become licensed insurance property and causality producer.
  • This position will require travel to industry conference and between the company’s offices in Phoenix and Boston.
  • Exceptional communication skills allowing you to connect with customers by email and phone –quickly establishing a rapport and trust.
  • Charismatic and personable! You can speak to any school customer and answer all questions with ease, grace and kindness.
  • Self-managed, highly motivated, and confident.
  • Very organized and diligent in managing your day.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • * Must be flexible and available for approximately up to 30% travel, and to attend meetings, presentations, and events outside the office
  • * Flexible to work weekends and/or extended work days, as required The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires: Constant sitting or standing, Some walking around, and Occasionally lifting no more than 20 lbs.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the Director of Campus Partnerships to enable our existing school partners to provide each of their campus residents a convenient way to enroll in GradGuard's student benefit and insurance programs.
  • Schedule and prepare for meetings with existing school partners
  • Identify and encourage all school partners to apply best practices for increasing student participation and protection.
  • Listen to the needs of schools and shape case studies that demonstrate the value of GradGuard to schools and students.
  • Learn the GradGuard school facing implementation process and be able to speak to our technology intelligently.
  • Become a student of the higher education industry
  • Assist the Vice President of Campus Development to cultivate new school partners.
  • Contact 10-30 schools a week to understand their needs and qualify schools to schedule school for a free consultation with the VP of Campus Development.
  • Support the team in creating valuable B2B content that engages our school partners and prospects through social media and higher education associations.
  • Identify common objections and recommend strategies for the business to make GradGuard's renters insurance programs available to protect all campus residents.
  • Effectively use SalesForce customer relationship management system to track discussions and campus engagements that will enable you to easily produce sales, activity and pipeline report for review with the VP of Campus Development.
  • Learn to travel efficiently and effectively.
