  • Software Engineer, PHP (Boston)

    The ideal candidates work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and deal professionally with both teammates and clients in order to meet business and technical demands. You will:

    • Work across teams to develop sites from scratch or enhance existing websites and software to meet business requirements
    • Work closely with the business team to build requirements define elegant technology solutions
    • Develop new features for existing solutions using PHP, MySQL, MongoDB, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
    • Implement and support existing applications using the technologies mentioned above
    • Recommend architecture and design optimizations to improve the scalability of the applications and maximize performance

    About you:

    • You’re a hacker who gets things done.
    • You have significant experience in PHP, MySQL, MongoDB.

  • Campus Development Director - Student Accounts (Boston or Phoenix)

    KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Maintains and expands relationships with strategically important customers. Assigned to 80 - 100 college and university partners.
    • Establishes productive, professional relationships with university housing officials.
    • Achieve strategic account objectives and growing student participation in existing student benefit program.
    • Represent GradGuard’s student benefit programs within higher education community including NACUBO / Professional Development Group / NASFAA / URMIA.
    • Coordinate school implementations to enable them to verify that each student has been provided notice of the institutions refund policy and provide the opportunity each family to protect themselves from financial loss through GradGuard’s tuition insurance benefit.
    • Enable colleges and universities to rely on GradGuard to maintain HIPAA compliant claims processes and to avoid the collection or distribution of student medical information.
    • Works closely with internal GradGuard’s national customer service team to ensure complete customer satisfaction and provide status reports regarding aggregate claims experience information to each institution.
    • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates school and client needs on an ongoing basis.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with college and university officials.

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The position is based in Boston or Phoenix and reports to the Senior Vice President for Campus Development, Joe Creney.

    • Four year college degree from an accredited institution
    • Excellent project management skills with a demonstrated capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Student financial services experience with demonstrated understanding of the responsibilities of the Busar’s office and student refunds.
    • Knowledge of higher education technology vendors such as Tuition Management Systems (TMS), Touchnet, Higher One and Nelnet.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and demonstrated capacity to become proficient in SalesForce.
    • Demonstrated curiosity in technology, higher education, social media, and insurance / risk management.
    • Enthusiasm for higher education
    • Willingness to become licensed insurance property and causality producer.
    • This position will require travel to industry conference and between the company’s offices in Phoenix and Boston.
    • Exceptional communication skills allowing you to connect with customers by email and phone –quickly establishing a rapport and trust.

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The position is based in Boston or Phoenix and reports to the Vice President for Campus Development, Steve Fucci.

    • Four year college degree from an accredited institution
    • Excellent written and oral communications
    • Excellent project management skills with a demonstrated capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Student housing operations experience with demonstrated understanding of the leasing
    • Knowledge of student housing technology vendors such as StarRez, RMS or Adirondack.

  • Campus Relations & Enrollment Specialist (Phoenix)

    GradGuard is searching for a Campus Relations & Enrollment Specialist to plan and manage the implementation of our student benefit programs at colleges and universities nationwide.

    The position will work closely with higher education professionals to implement programs that enable schools to disclose their institutional policies while also offering students the opportunity to protect themselves from a financial loss that may otherwise disrupt their education.

    Recognizing that each college and university is unique, the position must be an excellent communicator and be empathetic to the unique needs and opportunities within each campus we serve. Special consideration must be provided to implementing customize programs that include school specific products, branding and member / student communication. The Marketing Specialist will coordinate and communicate with other functional areas as required for the successful execution of projects.

    In addition, the position shall assist in collaborating with school partners and their technology vendors to achieve high levels of student protection / participation. A key part of the position will be to manage all client communication and to recommend strategies to grow participation and satisfaction with GradGuard.

    • Four year college degree from an accredited institution
    • 2 years of SalesForce experience
    • 1 year of hands-on experience in email campaign building and list management
    • 1 year of experience with Adobe Photoshop
    • Excellent written and oral communications
    • Excellent project management skills with a demonstrated capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
