I purchased a plan with a start date other than what is listed on the school’s academic calendar. Is my plan valid as of the date I selected that is listed on my plan, or the first day of the academic term I have purchased for?

Your policy’s Policy Effective Date is indicated on your Declaration of Coverage and is determined by the information you provided at the time of purchase. Your policy covers losses resulting from events that occur while the policy is in effect and associated with a covered term, subject to its terms, conditions, and exclusions, so you will want to be sure that you have the correct coverage period listed on your policy. If you notice your policy effective date is incorrect prior to the start date please contact us so we can correct your policy effective date.
Additionally, Tuition insurance must be purchased before the first day of classes for the selected term.
