Due to a consistent increase in natural disasters, the Florida Insurance Guaranty Association, the governing insurance body in the state of Florida, has imposed an annual Emergency Assessment Fee totaling 2%, on all policies effective after July 1, 2022. This fee will be used to improve the timeliness and assistance of claims (at the state level) when these disasters occur. The 2% fee will be collected with your August policy payment.
